Itinerary

Day 01:Chandigarh – Narkanda (180 km / 6–7 hrs)

On Arrival in Chandigarh and drive towards Narkanda. En route, enjoy scenic valleys and pine forests. Check in at a cozy hilltop hotel and relax for the evening.

Day 02:Narkanda – Sangla / Rakcham (200 km / 7–8 hrs)

After early Breakfast, checkout from hotel and Begin your journey into Kinnaur. Drive along the Sutlej River into the beautiful Sangla Valley. Reach Sangla or the lesser-known gem, Rakcham. On arrival Check inn to the hotel. Evening at leisure in the valley surrounded by apple orchards and pine forests and Dinner with Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 03:Sangla – Chitkul – Kalpa (100 km / 5 hrs)

After breakfast, visit Chitkul, the last village on the Indo-Tibet border. Later, drive to Kalpa, a charming town with panoramic views of the Kinner Kailash range. Checkinn to the hotel and Dinner  with Overnight stay in Kalpa.

Day 04:Kalpa – Nako – Tabo (190 km / 7–8 hrs)

Post breakfast, checkout from hotel and drive along winding mountain roads to Nako, a tranquil village with a sacred lake. Continue to Tabo, home to one of the oldest monasteries in the Himalayas (over 1000 years old). Check inn to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Day 05:Tabo – Dhankar – Kaza (70 km / 3–4 hrs)

After breakfast, checkout from hotel and proceed to Visit Dhankar Monastery, perched dramatically on a cliff above the Spiti River. Later, proceed to Kaza, the main town of Spiti Valley. Check-in and relax. Dinner and Overnight stay at Kaza

Day 06:Kaza – Langza – Hikkim – Komic – Kaza

After Breakfast, later Explore the high-altitude villages around Kaza: Langza – the fossil village, Hikkim – world’s highest post office, Komic – one of the highest motorable villages in the world Return to Kaza by evening. Dinner and Overnight Stay at Kaza

Day 07:Kaza – Chandratal Lake (100 km / 5–6 hrs)

After Breakfast, checkout from Hotel and Drive towards Chandratal Lake, one of the most beautiful lakes in the Himalayas (accessible from late June to September). Enjoy a short hike and overnight camp (subject to weather and road conditions). On arrival check inn to the hotel/camp and Overnight stay at Hotel/Camp with Dinner.

Day 08:Chandratal – Manali (130 km / 6–7 hrs)

After breakfast, checkout from hotel/camp. Later departure for Manali and Cross Kunzum Pass and drive towards Manali. This high-altitude stretch offers spectacular views of glaciers, streams, and the rugged beauty of Spiti. Also visits of Atul Tunnel. On arrival Reach Manali by evening. Check inn to the hotel and Overnight stay at Hotel

Day 09:Manali – Chandigarh (300 km / 8–9 hrs)

After breakfast, Checkout from Hotel and Drive back to Chandigarh, enjoying the changing scenery from desert mountains to green valleys. Overnight in Chandigarh.

06. Inner Line Permit (ILP)

  • Required for Indian citizens traveling to certain parts of Kinnaur and Spiti (especially near Chitkul and beyond Kaza)
